Follow Seek Your Guru on:

First you'll need to register. Once you've registered for a basic (buyer) account, you'll need to upgrade to a guru account. To do this, click the “Be a Guru” tab in the top navigation bar and follow the on-screen directions. Note: You will need a valid credit card (or a debit card with a credit card logo) to become a Guru.

Who can be a Guru?

Anyone who is at least 18 years of age can be a Guru on SeekYourGuru. Check out the Terms of use and the DO’s and DON’TS of SeekYourGuru for more specific membership requirements.

I’m in India, or the UK or anywhere else in the world besides the US – can I be a Guru at SeekYourGuru ?

Yes, as long as you've got a valid credit card, you can sign up. We have members all over the world! We're working on making SeekYourGuru an even better international marketplace.

I already have a student account. How do I become a guru?

To be a seller we require that you put a valid credit card (or debit card with a credit card logo on it) on file. Click the Be a Guru tab in the top navigation bar to get started.

Can I change my username?

If you need to change your username, please send a request to Seek Your Guru by clicking on "Feedback" link on the top right of the page. We will revert back to you within 24 to 48 hours.

Can I close my account to start a new one with a different user name?

If you need to close your account and start a new one with a different username, please send a request to Seek Your Guru by clicking on "Feedback" link on the top right of the page. We will revert back to you within 24 to 48 hours.

Can I use a debit card or Paypal to become a Guru at SeekYourGuru?

You can use a debit card if it has a credit card logo on it (i.e., the card was issued by or is backed by a credit card company). Otherwise, you will need a credit card to become a Guru on SeekYourGuru. We accept PayPal as a way to pay your bill but still require a valid credit card to become a guru on SeekYourGuru.

What services can I list on SeekYourGuru?

You can list any coaching service on a category already listed in SeekYourGuru or a new category not listed in SeekYourGuru (as long as it complies with our Terms of Use). A coaching service could be a group coaching service or a 1:1 coaching service.

As a buyer, how I do I report a problem with a transaction?

If you have problems with your transaction, please contact the guru directly via SeekYourGuru “Send a Message” to work toward a resolution. If the guru does not respond to your Messagess, and you believe that the coaching session did not occur as promised, you may file a Transaction Report. If you paid with PayPal, you may contact their customer support to inquire about a claim for refund. Please use the feedback system to review the guru's service.
